If you have been a regular reader of this blog or been following me on social media, then you probably know I am a Gary Vaynerchuk fan. And if you are too then my perspective on this quote is going to be quite similar to his.
‘Social Media Marketing,’ a word whose value is being drastically increased since a decade. If I would have asked Marketing manager of a company “What kind of ads would you suggest ?” before 10-15 years. He/She would have suggested a Newspaper ad or a Radio or Television ad or Flyers or Banners, etc.
But, today if you ask someone for any budget marketing they would most likely suggest you for Facebook ads or Instagram Influencers or YouTube Channels, etc. Why?
Because we have found an alternative for every ad medium used a decade ago. And that is what this ‘Jay Baer quote’ is all about.
The technology shift in last decade as we have witnessed has been enormous. For every dominating Ad medium during early internet days, there are hundreds of alternatives today like:
